SOTF Open Storage Overhang Enclosure

Apogee Consulting Group served as Prime contractor for mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering services. Apogee engineers developed the design for enclosing two large bays within an existing open overhang structure used for the storage of sixteen government owned vehicles.

The project involved:

  • Incorporation of all U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Guide Specifications;
  • Incorporation of LEED certification standards; Ft. Bragg Energy Sustainability Requirements; EISA 2007; and Federal Legislative Requirements for Energy (Construction) 2009;
  • Preparation of a base map and site plan for the project;
  • New metal wall sections and a new curtain wall for protection of vehicles;
  • Drainage improvements to include roof drains discharging at grade level;
  • Sixteen new 120-volt electrical power drops on retractable reels;
  • Extension of power supply off of the existing structure power supply, along with supporting panels and circuits;
  • Provision of complete and biddable plans and specifications, to include scheduling, staging area, limits, access/egress points, and permit compliance.
