Garrett Gossett PE

Garrett Gossett serves as Apogee’s Engineering Practice Leader, providing leadership across the firm’s electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and low-voltage disciplines. With more than two decades of experience in electrical contracting and consulting engineering, Garrett brings both practical field knowledge and technical expertise to the design and delivery of complex healthcare facilities.

Throughout his career, Garrett has focused extensively on healthcare projects, including renovations and new construction for Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers and outpatient facilities. His experience spans power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, communications, and other critical building systems, giving him a strong understanding of the coordination required among engineering disciplines to deliver safe, reliable, and well-integrated designs.

As Engineering Practice Leader, Garrett focuses on developing Apogee’s engineering staff, strengthening collaboration across disciplines, and improving the consistency, quality, and efficiency of the firm’s design process. He works closely with project teams to address technical challenges, support sound engineering decisions, and deliver solutions that meet client needs and project requirements.

Garrett earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Auburn University and is actively involved in professional organizations including the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), and the North Carolina Healthcare Engineers Association (NCHEA).
