VA Coatesville: MEP Renovation

Apogee provided MEP design for the renovation of Building 69, a physical medicine and rehabilitation facility on the Coatesville VA Medical Center campus.

Building 69 was upgraded to improve patient flow and space utilization, which included reception and waiting rooms, office space for doctors and exam rooms.

The occupational and physical therapy departments received a new therapy pool with handicap accessibility for patient rehabilitation. The needs of the mental health and audiology clinics were also addressed.

The project included:

  • Mechanical equipment design with new space conditioning and air balancing
  • Fire protection design
  • Lighting package with energy-efficient fixtures and control
  • ADA compliant bathrooms
  • Minor renovations to Buildings 38 and 58 to create a new employee weight room for Building 38 and a workshop and locksmith for Building 58
