VA Lexington: Exterior Lighting Upgrade

Apogee designed the first phase of an upgrade to the exterior lighting on the historic VA campus in Lexington.

The project scope consisted of evaluating and surveying the existing condition of the exterior lighting, upgrading, and replacing it.

Electrical Upgrades

The new electrical service equipment for the site lighting is a 480/277 volt, three-phase, four-wire main circuit breaker panelboard with a solidly grounded neutral feed. All feeders and branch circuit conductors are now copper.

Lighting Upgrades

New lighting utilizes light-emitting diodes (LED) type fixtures. As the facility is a historic site with existing historic-style fixtures, the appearance was maintained as closely as possible. Lighting controls were upgraded as well for greater control.
