VA San Francisco: SPS Renovation

Apogee is the prime contractor for this project to expand, renovate, and modernize the current sterilization and processing service (SPS) area and construction of up to 4,000 Gross Square Foot (GSF) of new space at the San Francisco VAMC.

This new space will be used for sterile processing services (SPS) clinical administration and support services, meeting all current VA Design Guide standards, seismic, and life safety codes.

This project upgrades and expands the SPS to correct for mechanical, sterile flow and operational issues such as lack of direct uninterrupted access to the operating room suite.

Apogee’s design further corrects numerous condition deficiencies, particularly those that relate to the essential plumbing and mechanical systems needed by a fully functioning SPS at a tertiary care referral center.

The existing 6,100 SF of SPS space on the third floor of Building 200 will be fully renovated and up to, 4000 SF of new space added.
